So little time...

WOW!  What a lot of photos and opportunities.  I have so many things to do...I almost don't want to quantify the number of projects I have going, or rather sitting...waiting for attention.  I haven't had the ability to devote all my time to photography, in fact I have quite LITTLE time for it, because I'm working and in a musical...

Before I go on, I just entered five images in a photo contest, if you like the photo below please don't hesitate to vote!  Only takes a few seconds and they do not use your email, it's only for vote validation.

I don't know HOW but in the last hour I've gained 180 votes and the 7th spot within 340 some entries to this contest, I'm a bit shocked and amazed!

For those wondering what the hell I mean when I say I have too much to take on more shoots:

a huge set of wedding shots from when I first started out...almost ONE YEAR ago.  (It's amazing how life gets in the way...)

at least three concert shoots

at least 3 friends wanting to do modeling shoots

one family portrait session

one friend who offered me a trip to and a few days stay in San Fransisco in exchange for photos (I want more city shots...this would ROCK)

some pretty decent pics from the latest car show I want to work, many are possible HDR shots... (whole shoot done with bracketing)

some 35mm film I need to take in for developing, with more whale pics

a set of a friend's puppy

candid shots from a party with friends

action shots of a little boy's basketball game

...and that's just what I can remember...



Then I have at least 6 cameras to sell, and even more lenses, and some light stands.  (That means more photos..price research..and dealing time)
I also have to find money and time to have large 10x20" or thereabouts prints made for hanging in a waiting room...

....and it's sunny outside.  

DAMN not having a laptop, or more time.

This also comes at a point of noticeable (at least to me) personal development, making it even more difficult to concentrate on what I need to do, externally, internally, spiritually...or what have you.  You define it how you want, but I have a lot on my plate, along with a significant knack for forgetting where I've put that plate when I set it down, and little time to search for it when it's lost.  

I must focus.

The day job at a measly $8/hr and the musical I'm in don't help either.  I'm thankful for a job and the amazing experience of the production though; don't mistake that for complaint.  I only wish I had longer shifts on fewer days; working for 30 minutes just to pay for the gas to get to my job that day...is a distinct hint I need to do better.  


Time to buckle down...
